Our issue stemmed from day one when we were promised things upon moving into a rental unit that Hayden & Co.managed and they were not delivered.

For one moving into this great new place to find that the unit was not completed or even had appliances. This was unacceptable for one we paid over $1700 in deposits. As time went on other issues arose, every time we called them for support they passed us off on someone else or didn't return our calls. They poorly managed the property.

When "Management" needed something from us, to confirm something was wrong at the complex they called us to check into the situations. For this I expected a little better service in return, this never happened. During this time one of our deposits was forfeited, supposedly due to what they call "late" rent. We mailed our payments within the 1-5 day grace period only to find that they cashed the checks passed the 5 day period, resulting in late payments.

No matter what I tried to do to get our money back the CEO of the company Mr. Benton Hayden continued to treat us unfairly and threatened I stop emailing him. And I am not even bringing up the security and saftey issues they didn't handle. I explained that if it didn't say that we would "lose" our money in our lease then how can they just take our money?

I asked several times for 'proof' that it said that in our lease. Instead the CEO would change the topic and begin to say that he wouldn't help us no matter what. Below is word(s) from an email that the CEO himself sent me. "The money has been given to the owner anyway per our policy.

This was not explained to you as a pet deposit. I have emails between me and you about discussion of getting more pets, and then having to put a deposit down. And after your little stunt with the review, email to Lori Swanson (who is the county housing attorney - I copied on the email), I dont care in anyway to pull strings and to help you with this. This matter is closed for a 3rd time.

I ask you not to email me again or I will deem is harassment and will file with the police.If you don't like my decision, you have the courts to settle this"-Brenton Hayden

Where is the 'thumbs up?' because I certainly agree with you, fellow anonymous….he must know people are going to google him and find out how much he embellished his story.Yes, he attended a workshop at Harvard and MIT.

He worded the sentence the same way a bachelor degree holder would word it. Not good. Starting to think maybe daddy is other than a truck driver. That 900-dollar turns out to be 3000 dollars.

Has anyone ever looked into this guys true background?? It is amazing how a little financial backing and social media can give you the image that you are bigger than what is really behind closed doors.

First and foremost had it not been for Ryan Marvin's initial contribution of money Renters Warehouse would never gone anywhere. Notice we said Marvin as in Marvin Windows. A big name with deep pockets. It was the money that Marvin's family fronted in order to get him started. Brenton had not money and was bankrupt. Thats right he was bankrupt. Around 2010 Brenton filed for BK as he was flat broke. In 2010 Brenton had his real estate license revoked for fraudualuant and deceptive practices.

Later he was evicted from his Cloud 9 apartment complex and later his downtown Hot Properties office building. This is the same who claims to a property manager who is building a business in the rental management field without a real estate license. His BMW was repo'd about the same time as he could not afford the payments. I dont think he even had a credit score as it is so low.

Someone should really look deep into this and look past all the hype as the true colors will shine.

I compliment the sucess as it is truely amazing how no-one has ever brought this up to him.

How do you explain the quote below? I'm NOT saying you did this or not. I just want answers and for you to show me where to find the proof. If you're innocent of it, then where can I read the document?

The statements made about me are incorrect, false, and slanderous. In 2007 I was wrongly deemed in violation of local licensing laws. Finally after an appeal, the truth prevailed and my license was fully instated. This shall include my ability to work within the mortgage industry. However it should be noted that I have never been in, worked in, or ever intend to be in the mortgage industry. I encourage you or anyone to verify this information with any regulatory agency. This is simply an mis-use of outdated and partial information as a personal attack on my person. Its clear by hiding under anonymity, that "Anonymous", wishes not to expose the truth, but his/her own personal mission or vendetta. It should also be noted, that the original complainant withdrew his complaint (12-10-2010). We regret he ever felt he was treated poorly. We never took anyone's money, but rather a property owner deducted a tenants security deposit for pet damage, which the tenant did not agree, however mistakenly placed blame with me and my company.




I recently met with Brenton Hayden.I found him to be a very intelligent business man who has obviously made many right decisions to get him where he is at.

He is not cocky in any way. Being in business exposes a person to many situations that can be viewed as negative, especially when half of the story is told. I feel that Mr Hayden and his staff are trying very hard to provide excellent customer service.

It is obvious that they care about their clients but don't put up with nut cases such as what is seen in other comments viewed at pissed off customer site.They are just jealous of such awesome success!!

When did this clown go to MIT? That is all bogus - no records show any attendance at Massachusets Institute of Technology - the real MIT, what did he go online to get an unaccredited 4 hour course so he can mislead people to thinking he is educated - I challenge him to present ANY college degree!


I had a job as a mover.Then my parents heard about brenton and decided to use him to sell there house.

I was present at one of the first meetings. Brenton and I started to talk job opportunities. A week aftet our initial meeting I went in for a formal interview. By the end of our meeting I had a job offer in hand.

I was told I was to start in 7 to 10 days. I quit my moving job as a result of the job offer. 7 days past and brenton said it wasn't ready yet. 10 days past more excuses.

Week after week he continued to assure me the job offer was still alive. I even told him I had no job as a result of his job offer. Brenton then told me it was a mistake to have quit my job even aftet he promised me a job.

I have not been able to find a steady job since.Brenton hayden is a heartless man who's only goal is to make money even when it ruins lives.

Brenton rec'd the 10k back from the state once the ruling against him was overturned.And his licensed was fully reinstated.

Every Sunday Mr. Hayden hosts a free educational real estate show on AM 1280 educating and explaining real estate as to help teach many adults how to become successful in real estate. This is done through sponsorships from satisfied vendors. Brenton also saves more than 500 people a year from foreclosure with his rental management services.

Ive known Brenton for 4 years, and I find him to be honest, accountable and full of integrity. He is a compassionate soul whom puts his friends, family and co-workers first.

I have worked for Brenton both as a contractor and now he is a client of my company. He also manages my 3 rental properties, and if it wasnt for him. My ship may have sunk in 2007 with everyone else in the real estate market. I might add, my most recent tenants renewed their lease because of a person encounter with Mr. Hayden.

Brenton is a well respected business man around town.With every company there will be issues.

But I know Brenton personally, and he truly cares about his customers and his reputation. Truly one of the most genuine people ive met. And above all he is honest. Brenton has never been about money, nor came from money.

He is self made. His father is a truck driver and mother is housewife.

So its clear you all dont know him and have some grudge against him and his company.I would urge you all that have an issue to talk with Brenton himself, im sure you will have a different opinion.


The comments posted on this page are without merit and are intended to be slanderous in nature. I have never been convicted of mortgage fraud. My license is active with the state of Minnesota. At one point my license was censored for a license renewal issue, which was later corrected in 2009 and this censor was reversed. The former Attorney General Mike Hatch and former Commissioner Bert McKasy represented me through this matter and innocence prevailed.

I have recently moved out of one of the Hayden managed complexes, And thankfully we are out!I didn't want to write until I got my deposit back, but he is a crooked man to work for, he did the same thing (holding the rent checks till the 15th then saying they are late!) Also numerous attempts to contact management for serious issues and no one would respond.

This is a bad company to do business with!Especially this a$$hole who is to good to talk to you, he will just pass you off on his lackys.


I lived at one of his properties..he promised us blinds (yes blinds on the windows) which never came...a refridgetor and stove that werent installed yet and many many other things.He claims to be the million dollar manager..well only bc he scams people out of their money!

The issue of the original author Michael Candy was settled without Hayden & Co, LLC returning any funds to Mr.Candy.

The Candys realized we were not the one in possession of their deposit nor the deciding factor whether they got their deposit back.

We are merely 3rd party facilitators for the property owners.

We refute any wrong doing and Mr Candy also has dropped his claim via email.The matter has been settled to the consumers satisfaction.

On November 25th, 2009, the Minnesota Department of Commerce signed a consent order reversing the license revocation and permission was granted for the real estate license be re-instated upon application. I have never been in the mortgage industry, never been charged or committed mortgage fraud in any fashion. Commissioner of Commerce Glenn Wilson presided over the discussion and no evidence was found to have reason for license revocation. A settlement was only agreed to in 2007 because of my inability to defend myself legally any further against the State. Once I became able to bring suit against the State of Minnesota in 2009 and afford a lengthy legal battle the ruling was overturned restoring my good name.

Mr Hayden has been reprimanded, fined, censored and barred from doing any business related to mortgages. Also, has had real estate licensed revoked. Is he shady....you make that decision..

- To Comment on your response, This is not the issue...I don't think you understand or you were told to comment on this.First off, We did do that (Send the rent in a few days before) its just that they held the check too long, therefore it is late.

It has nothing to do with "doing what I want", not to mention you have no idea what we went through, not to mention this is an old issue and I am working on removing this entire posting.

I have a lease with this company.I always send the rent in so it arrive 2 to 3 days before the 1st, why would you not do that?

I don't even think of violating anything in the lease as it is pretty scary."you can't always do what you want"

The tenant violated numerous provisions in his lease which constituted a $400 forfeiture of a good faith deposit which was clearly written in tenant Micheal Candy lease. The tenant has a history of poor payment history and negative credit , hence why he was required to put a $400 good faith deposit down.

Furthermore, had un-authorized pets which his lease clearly forbids and did not authorize.

Now they are changing their story again, and saying we had late rent, unauthorized pets (which is absolute BS) they knew we had a dog.I have emails to prove it!!

This company has terrible business practices.Stear clear of this company!


They treated us ok, but our complex had so many issues they refused to fix. Just move out instead. BH is a crook!


Brenton is not a customer oriented person, he is a CEO and that is what happens when you deal with these corporate figures.
